Stargate for me has always been about living with the people around you: regardless if you agree with them or hate what they stand for. It's about family and finding that middle ground to work together.

I really liked every character in Atlantis and SG-1 for this. They were all so different and came from different perspectives. The reason why Rodney was so endearing was because he wasn't pampered or treated like he was perfect. He was picked on, called out on bullshit, but respected like a human being for just trying to do a job.

It's bullshit when people call him 2-dimensional or to say he lacked subtlety just because he was generally louder than most. He had some great moments.

I'm suddenly reminded as to why I stopped participating in Stargate Fandom. So much hate. :(
