Re: human x non-human ships
(Anonymous) 2013-04-04 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)It's a science-fiction webcomic about a group of humans who get abducted to help fight an evil alien space bureaucracy. There's a lot of relationships between humans and aliens in it, and it's never done in a leering way, and they range from promiscuous sex (Dmitri, who is the best character) to a touching, committed relationship between a woman (Martina, who is the best character) and a giant space slug. And also it's really good. Right up your alley.
Also, you should check out James Tiptree's short story "And I Awoke And Found Me Here On The Cold Hill's Side". Which isn't romance, so much, and it's not really positive, but it's still about human x alien, and it's a great short story writer, and Tiptree was a great writer, so check her out.
