Yay for Andrea deadness. Her, Lori, and Shane were the ones I was always wanting to be killed, and now we've got the lot. Andrea was an asshole.

Andrea at least LOOKED for Carol's fucking kid while Carol washed clothes and cried. Andrea at least learned skills to fucking protect herself and others and tried to make her own decisions about what was best for herself instead of just going along with whatever the 'men' declared was best.

Or are you one of those people that hate her because she was suicidal after losing her sister and being in a fucking zombie apocalypse and complain that she didn't act 'depressed' properly?

I didn't like Andrea because she couldn't be trusted. Her behavior and reactions to most things OTHER than her sister were contradictory. It made her unpredicatable and that's the last character trait I'd want around me in the zombie apocalypse.

This. That's my biggest problem with Andrea: She's a giant, careless, self-centered FLAKE.

If only they had a few more episodes, she probably would've redeemed herself before dying.

I cared more about Merle's death, wtf.

In fairness, she had started to redeem herself a bit in my eyes, in the last couple of episodes -- enough that I wasn't cheering for her demise, at least. She had the potential to grow up a bit, but she really needed to be led by the nose to get there, and there just... wasn't time.

But for most of the series? Guh.

Yeah, she was just starting - I only wish she was able to do more. I'm just kind of "whatever" on her death, and annoyed she didn't get to do more. The fact that she's been away from the group so long also makes it feel like her death doesn't have much impact. I DUNNO. You can't just throw in her saying I WANTED TO SAVE EVERYONE :( at the last moment and expect it to completely break my heart.

Honestly, I felt worse for Milton in that whole mess. I felt like he was at the start of this really great character arc, and I wanted to see how he would grow and develop and come into his own... and then no.

ntayrt, if you're going to excuse andrea's behavior based on her depression at her loss of her sister i really think you should have some sympathy for carol as well. she lost her husband and her daughter, and was struggling with overcoming the learned helplessness and negativity that comes from years in an abusive relationship.

I think this might be a case of the writers can't write women as three dimensional characters to save their lives.

This is accurate. Half the time I was wondering if Andrea died because tptb didn't know what else to do with her besides just not knowing what to do with her.

Shane was really the only one I actively wanted to see die a horrible death, but I hadn't had much patience for Andrea since about the middle of Season 1, so I get where you're coming from on this. (Lori I found myself starting to defend simply because of all the fandom hate.)
