It's a powerful system of thought and a beautiful one in many ways and one which has had an extraordinary number of intelligent, creative people working with it for thousands of years (not that it's unique amongst religions in that regard, but still). It's not surprising that it would resonate with you; it'd hardly have survived for two thousand years if it didn't have an extraordinary resonance on a deep human level
