27. I LOVE YOU <3 Come play with us, seriously! They're the best group of people I have ever played with, and I love them to death. The rest of them (sans me) do have a right to be elitist, I think, 'cause they're so awesome at what they do. XD But kjdsghiulh aww, that was so nice of you. That entire RP is filled with fabulous players, it isn't just the Death Note cast, but I know I speak for everyone (I hope :D;) when I say that we're honored you think so highly of us, but really, there's no reason for you to stay away! You should come and apply. We'd love to have you. ♥

Considering your plots are mostly Death Note centered, it's hard for anyone who isn't in on things to have uninvolved characters become involved. Why do you think so many people left? They had no idea how to integrate with their canons.

We'd rather just watch what you guys are doing :)

Well, the plots of SendOff are just made by the players. It has nothing to do with mods (the fact at Death Note player became a mod was because of his/her ability to make plots). So, it's not so much SendOff plots revolve around Death Note, it's more that the Death Note players have created a plot for themselves. Whose to say the Kingdom Hearts people could create a plot within OSTA or ANTI and run with it like the Death Note people did? ^^;

Haha. I did that for a long time before I started playing there. I was in awe. XD

Well, I'm just considering the mood of the game at present, you know? Power to the Death Note characters for making the plot strong for themselves, but other fandoms and series will now have to work up reasons as to why they would bother or care if this one obvious group is doing most of the work already. Not every fandom can 'fit' with the Sendoff story, you know?

Still, it's awesome to see such development. I just hope that there will be fandoms willing to step in and open out a wider range of participants for the game's progression. ♥

It'd be nice if other casts did things without having their hands held the whole way. There are only a small handful of individuals who don't have to be hand-fed plots in order to do anything at all.

There was, as far as I am aware, just one plot Death Note centered - because nobody else would step up to bat.

It seems the loss of players was triggered more by the no alt-interaction rule than a lone plot.

I also hope other fandoms will step up and play. There is so much variety out there, and so many possibilities past one cast.

I pretty much agree with the other anon. It no longer seems like a very multifandom-friendly game. Everyone's attempts at creating a plot or having something to do with their characters were choked out by the DN plots (and, however briefly, the DN moderator's attitude). There's also the pressure that because the DN group rules the roost, every other plot would have to fit in with their plans.

It really is a shame. You don't find many games where people are willing to put so much thought and time into their characters. Kudos to you players. You're a very impressive bunch.

It was only one plot.

Mine, actually, written since the day I first started playing L. It was a pretty complicated, convoluted and looooong plot.

Basically, it was a plan to take down the main 'villain' faction through manipulating/coercing/convincing/working with various other people. The plot itself had nothing to do with Death Note's plot, but a lot of the RP that took place along the way involved interactions between the characters in that cast (and outside of it).

For those who had the bravery to step up and join in, thank you so much. The plot really wouldn't have worked out without every last one of you.

For those who didn't join in, I'm very sorry. Highly intellectualized RP can be intimidating at best and off-putting at worst. Unfortunately, there's very little I can do about it other than provide opportunities for less cerebral RP (thus the varied battle scenes during the finale).

I also meant to prove during this plot that players can run their storylines successfully on Sendoff. Please do! It's a lot of work, but it's extremely rewarding.

Again, I stress this: Please, please create functional plots. The cast does not rule the roost. I was the one running this plot, me alone, not my cast -- it was the drive of a single player to create a wealth of logs, so this means two things:

1.) Anyone else can do the same thing.
2.) If anyone's going to resent someone for the plot, please resent me, not my cast. I'd hate to see them get a bad reputation for a plot that I developed and ran on my own.

After the conclusion of this plot I have no other plot ideas in the works; as was my plan since the beginning, I have no interest in producing another plot. I'd really love to see what other people come up with.

I hope this cleared things up a little!
