Honestly? (thankfully no one will see this) I don't care WHAT your personal beliefs are as long as you don't use them to hamper other people's rights. You can be homophobic all you like as long as you don't think that your personal beliefs should have any effect on what laws are passed.

I saw this come up a lot during Ron Paul's campaign. He has one of the typical older-guy attitudes of discomfort towards homosexuality, but there was still a lot of gay support for him, because he doesn't think it's the government's place to butt into personal affairs.

I'm waiting to see if Rand has a similar integrity...the immigration thing makes me fear he's going to be more of a flip-flopper.
