A few suggestions.

1. Because they're not real, and therefore whatever is normal to be felt between siblings can be hand-waved in much the same way someone's canon (or in most cases supposedly canon) sexuality can be hand-waved to ship something.
2. Because it's fucked up and people like fucked up.
3. Because (especially highlighted in earlier seasons, IDK, I haven't caught up) there are a lot of ways in which their family/relationship isn't normal/shows an abnormal dependency because of their inability to connect with the world outside of each other, being hunters, etc. See reason 2.
4. Because people just think it's hot and are not actually fooling themselves into thinking the subtext is there.
