Outside of fandom, what do you do? I'm genuinely curious about this... I mean, if you want to read an obscure book you're shit outta luck if you must first know exactly what happens (and reading the last page wouldn't help you much).

If you claim to respect people who dislike warnings -- and say you just want the same in return -- it seriously clashes with comments like "if you don't want to warn because it might spoil your masterful work of art, get a grip". I also think the whole LOL I'm gonna make this secret as pointlessly long as possible, just to piss certain people off attitude detracts from your secret, but hey, that's your choice.

More precisely, I said I try to respect that -- apparently -- some people cannot enjoy things if they know how it ends. I do not think anyone should have to be spoiled, or be spoiled against their will.

I meant everything I said, but the main point of the secret was: http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/782308.html?thread=642818532#cmt642818532

I just had to pick something secret-ish I could babble about for a very long time.

Do you know how YOUR story ends? How and when do you die? Are you happy? Did your dreams come true? Who died before you?

How do you get those spoilers?

DA I'm one of the people who'll happily look up plots on Wikipedia before I watch a film, or start a TV show. As a child I always used to read the last page of a book before I started it. I want the journey, and I want to know the destination before I start.
