OP, I could tooootally go on forever about this old topic.

While I don't see anything special about Maggie's acting (I've only ever seen her in TDK though), I really have to agree that Katie definitely made the better Rachel. I felt like she was passionate about her job, while Maggie's Dawes seemed to be more focused on her relationships with Bruce and Harvey. There was no dark past or tragic childhood that we know of with Rachel, and I really felt that with Katie - she merely did what she did because she was a good person with a strong moral compass. Maggie's Rachel seemed to try to welcome some darkness (or drama) with that silly love triangle. It's not only how Maggie acted it out, but it's how she helped write it. I think she destroyed what could have been a great original character, and not just for a Nolan female character.

Also, I absolutely despite the but she looks so young to be a lawer! argument. Looks can be deceiving, folks. Get over it.

Did Maggie help write TDK!Rachel? I didn't know this. :O I was under the impression that her role was just reduced in the second movie.

She did! I think she pretty much had full control over her character's writing. I heard Nolan helped with it too, but I think he just approved whatever she did.

I always wondered why I liked Katie's Rachel more than Maggie's Rachel and I think you've just helped me realise why. Thanks! :D
