If you are really that anxious in public as to what the ticket cashier does or doesn't think of you (hint, he/she doesn't care, they've got a few hundred more tickets to sell that shift so unless you are crazy somehow or you come every day they are not going to remember you)...

buy two tickets when you get there. You are doing that anyway now, and this will make it appear as if you have somebody else with you. And once inside a darkened theater, nobody is focusing on you.

Mind you, the real solution is to stop giving a fuck and just buy your goddamn ticket and go sit where you gonna sit.
