(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 02:05 am (UTC)(link)The appeal of Wincest is that it's an incredibly fucked up dynamic, and has been since they were children. They grew up outside the confines of a lot of societal norms, and really had no one else for companionship. This isn't a normal, functional set of siblings who randomly decided to boink each other - it's based on the assumption that they both relate really co-dependently to each other.
Although I totally agree with the above poster that having other characters - or hell, even Sam and Dean - be cool with it is insane. That would weird out LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE in their lives, and probably Sam would have significant trouble with it after trying so doggedly to have a "normal life".
