The main advice people always give is to unfollow if you don't like it. I don't unfollow a person because of one thing they post that annoys me, when I like the rest of the stuff they post. The problem is that most blogs I follow are multi-fandom, so it's hard to keep away from the stuff you don't like while seeing the stuff that you do.

That makes sense and I do understand it (I feel the same, though most the stuff that appears on my dashboard doesn't bother me enough to want to blacklist it (even if I could use tumblr savior), but since your options are: continue following the user and deal with the frustration, ask them to tag their stuff (which would likely just piss them off) or unfollow them... I don't know what else to suggest. :(

I'm not fond of untagged posts either but as long as tumblr is around I imagine they'll exist, so it's just something you might have to put up with.

I agree. I was once following this really funny person who made these amazingly funny fandom related posts, but then she got into Homestuck and started reblogging more about that without tagging it.

Since she was tumblr famous in our fandom she lost a lot of followers from that, and eventually I unfollowed too. Which sucks because you have to choose if the good is worth putting up with the bad, and you can't make anybody tag their stuff.
