There's a difference between finding guys more attractive, and thus being more inclined to squee over the hotness of male characters, and bashing female characters just because they're female, though. Being attracted to men is fine and even focusing more on male characters is fine, but it's the people who hate all female characters, or hate them for traits that they overlook or applaud in male characters, or feel the need to call them bitches, sluts, whores, etc. that are the problem here.

I'm glad that you've found a place that's welcoming and accepting, and think that's awesome! But that space does sometimes need to be criticized for it's treatment of female characters or f/f romance.
