Right. And reading slash, het and femslash makes me what? Some kind of weird unicorn?

The reason why m/m is not in mainstream media is because of homophobia and misogyny. You really think they'll make gay relationships irl when you've got homophobic idiots running out screaming bloody murder when they see two guys on screen? Not to mention they can't even write women properly and this is 2013. Also, are you new or are you unaware of the fact that a lot of female bashing come from het fandoms or are you just ignoring this because of your slash hate-boner? I'm genuinely curious.

Female bashing in het fandoms has more to do with someone getting in the way of the ship than the fact that the character is female. It usually happens when you have a main guy and two pining girls. If the genders are flipped, people are going to bash one of the guys for getting in the way.

Indeed it does. But it doesn't erase the fact that there's a lot of misogyny going on in there. When another character is being called a huge hoebag for being in the way of the relationship it still is misogyny. It's disgusting and there's no excuse for that.

I rarely see guys being "bashed" but whatever you say.
