I enjoy Gaiman's writing, but I understand people's criticisms of it or why it doesn't quite work for some people. He's great at crafting characters and coming up with interesting story ideas, but sometimes the execution and narrative does fall a little flat. He also struggles with endings from time to time. I totally agree that both Neil Gaiman and Wil Wheaton would be awesome to hang with at a bar, though! I would chill with either (or both) of them any day.
