...did you actually read the secret?

(Anonymous) 2013-04-13 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
So why are you randomly derisively spouting "lol Doctor/River is the worst" when the secret-maker obviously knows it's the worst?

It's a reflexive reaction to seeing a picture of the Doctor and River together.

Or you could see it as me agreeing with that part of the secret.

You know, although I agree with your opinion, I gotta say your overuse of "lol" is starting to drive me up the wall.

I actually am aware that I do it and I try to edit myself, but for some reason, I've kind of gotten to the point where I use 'lol' as a meaningless sentence filler, like some people use "like" (actually I use "like" a lot too) or "so". It's a really weird habit that I don't do consciously.

Ugh, I'm still blaming Eddie Izzard for my horrible addiction to the word "so".

Because obviously the community hasn't seen her spout similar sentiments in the past and really needs to know her exact feelings on the pairing.

I don't know about you, but I'm not keeping a spreadsheet over who in f!s thinks what.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Who needs a spreadsheet? There are certain posters who tend to comment on topics every time they come up. I visit here pretty sporadically and I still know that fauxkaren hates Doctor/River and Sansan, dethtoll despises Joss Whedon, and otakuga15 is not a fan of the term brony. It's really not that hard to remember when it's a topic that someone comments on a particular topic regularly and tends to have a fairly strong opinion.

It's really just sense to state your opinion in a discussion, even if you've discussed the same subject before in the same community. People here are not just talking to you personally, we're all talking to each other. People don't always read everything, and that's not even taking newcomers into account. Sure, it's not impossible to keep track of people's opinions, but it would be silly for posters to expect others to do so - and even sillier for readers to assume posters have those expectations.
