...I thought that was basically what OUaT is anyway. (You're kidding yourself if you think a licensed TV adaptation of the comic would be much closer...)

All they have in common is the concept of fairy tales in the same world. Which would probably be enough for most people but the presentation of the characters and the storyline are pretty different.
