Re: People who use makeup

As a general recommendation, if you're interested in makeup, Birchbox is $10/month and they send you samples every month. I love it. It's a great way to try out new brands and products on the cheap, since makeup can be so expensive. I know it's in the US and the UK, I'm not sure about anywhere else. http://www.birchbox.com/ (http://www.birchbox.com/)

I use an Aveeno moisturizer with SPF 30 before applying makeup. (I started wearing sunscreen daily when I was 15, and I'm 30 now, and believe me, it makes a big difference in how your skin ages. Wear sunscreen and moisturize, you'll never be sorry.) I wear mineral makeup, usually Everyday Minerals, because I have sensitive skin and it doesn't make me itch. I use the Everyday Minerals concealer and it works alright, but I am only concealing occasional acne marks and a few small scars.

Depending on what you want to conceal, you may need something with more staying power/coverage. If you do, I would recommend using a skin primer also. Because I have really oily skin, I will sometimes use a rice powder primer by Fyrinnae. I apply concealer last, and I recommend this if you are concealing specific spots, otherwise you may smudge and mess up the concealer you just applied if you roll your finishing powder brush over it.

As a finishing powder, I use the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. I wish I could find another product, because I don't otherwise use Bare Minerals and it's a bit expensive, but it's absolutely the best finishing powder I've ever used, there's not anything better for matte skin and shrinking pores that I've tried. I'm open to recommendations!

I use a Benefit mascara, they make a few great ones--I think I'm using "Yes, they're real" now. I will use eyeshadow by Everyday Minerals or anyone, really, I'm not picky about that. The Balm makes a great eyelid primer, I think it's called "Put a Lid on it" or something like that, and I highly recommend using a primer if you want your eyeshadow to pop and stay in place. I use an undereye brightener by Everyday Minerals--Aussie Pick Me Up.

The Balm makes a great lip stain that I love love love and would recommend, it's called Stainiac, comes in a few colors. I use Beauty Queen, I think. This is my go-to product, pop it in your purse and put it on anytime. It's just a color, so if you want shine you need a separate gloss. I got in my Birchbox lately Mirenesse Glossy Kiss, which is a lip pencil but not waxy and awful, it's actually bold and fabulous.

I don't usually wear blush since I have cheeks like a milkmaid and they show through my foundation unless I wear it extra heavy, but Everyday Minerals makes acceptable blushes and The Balm has a few nice ones.

Sorry this is so long!
