Re: Job Thread
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 12:55 am (UTC)(link)Thank you for not automatically assuming I'm the problem, though. I appreciate it. :)
Re: Job Thread
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 01:47 am (UTC)(link)Document everything. Dates, times, incidents, recorded as objectively as possible, stating specifically how they are undermining your ability to do your job. If you can't go to HR in the company, once you've amassed enough documentation (say six months to a year, unless you can retroactively document everything that's happened to you up to this point), go the Labour Board.
Re: Job Thread
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 02:31 am (UTC)(link)Now that I've gotten a little of the rage out of my system, I know I'm not in this job for the long-haul, I simply can't be or else I'll lose years off my life from stress. However, before I eventually make my exit, I'm just now finally getting traction with some other people in my department to help put processes in place that will alleviate some of the problems I'm experiencing for whoever comes after I leave. Really, my whole department gets treated like I do, my situation is not unique, and I want to help everyone. I'm hoping to have some quantifiable, reportable processes in place to help streamline the workload and get some of the cooks out of the kitchen so we can do our jobs more effectively. It might honestly be a pipe dream, because people at this place are inordinately resistant to anything resembling change, but I'm going to at least try.
