I can't speak for the first two but Willis, to me, seems like a person who struggles with being intolerant. First he was an intolerant Christian, now he's an intolerant... I'm actually not sure what he is now.

Either way, he was raised in an extreme household and while he may no longer hold their views, the extremism itself hasn't really left him.

At the same time, I said struggles. I think he sometimes realizes this in himself and tries to do the good thing and tries to not be a douchebag. I think he's working on it, essentially. And honestly? That's a lot better than most people. At least he's trying to change. Though he does try my patience at times.
