Re: Breast reduction?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 03:45 am (UTC)(link)Don't have any advice in terms of the surgery itself, but my mother got a reduction and she says that yes, there is a loss of sensation. But--big but here--how extreme this is depends on the type of surgery. What type of surgery your breasts need depends on their shape and size, so it varies.
Re: Breast reduction?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 04:07 am (UTC)(link)Besides, I don't care if my b size boobs start to sag if I don't wear a bra, just as long as it isn't so damn uncomfortable and inconvenient.
I knew there was correlation between extremity of the surgery and loss of sensation but I guess I was hoping it might not be as bad as I have heard from people who haven't had the surgery. My boobs already aren't the most sensitive and I'm not too fond of the idea of getting the new boobs I want and not having a compelling reason to play with them. :( Thanks for weighing in though.
Re: Breast reduction?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-14 05:20 am (UTC)(link)"There's actually some support for the idea support doesn't actually do anything and might even weaken the muscles used to support boobs. I know a lot of older women who are b cups and have never worn bras and they look just fine. "
this is relevant to my interests. do you have any links at hand?

(Anecdotally, I'm a B-cup who resents bras and wears them as little as possible, and my breasts are super-perky.)
