My uncle is an EMT in the city. He says it's chaos. EMTs have been doubling up people in the trucks because there are so many injured. The three hospitals they been delivering to are all standing room only.

And CNN isn't helping by throwing everything and anything out there and seeing what sticks even if turns out to be a 100% wrong. The JFK library was just a building fire not another attack. They have no one in custody. No one has claimed the bombing. This hasn't been classified as a foreign terrorist attack.

My personal opinion is it's a homegrown, "True Patriot" psychopath. To pick Boston on Tax Day? It's too much of a coincidence.

Been an uptick of those in the last couple years. I'm reminded of the Clinton era.

Yeah, I don't want to come to conclusions without knowing much, but Boston on Tax Day is kind of suspect...

When I was walking through the crowd of people leaving, I saw a group of three guys carrying signs with "Boston will burn for its sins" and apocalyptic, end-times warnings on them. It's entirely likely.

Like those guys who stand outside of Downtown Crossing/Near the Corner and yell at people? God, I hate those assholes.

Ugh. I'm reminded of the news when the last school shooting took place. Looks like they learned absolutely nothing about that fiasco.

A Twitter friend's grandpa has apparently asked her, "Caught George Bush for bombing Boston yet?" I don't even...

One of my friend's parents said it was the result of getting a bunch of commie leftists running together. I just... wut.

Yeah, I have NO idea what his reasoning for that was. My friend was just as baffled by it as I was, and too pissed off to ask him to elaborate.

Not just "Tax Day" but, at least for Maine and Mass it's "Patriots Day". So, yeah, I immediately thought of psychopath "true patriot".

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was something along the lines of Timothy McVeigh. The media need to stick to the facts. Fear mongering helps no one.

When I watched the news, it occurred to me that the bombings were... amateur? (For want of a better word, I am not saying that bombings are a good thing!)

The reports I've seen say there's been 2 people killed, 23 injured... which is not the major chaos and destruction seen with the London bombings and other occurrences carried out by big terrorist organisations.

Not only that, the bombing occurred several hours after the winners crossed the finish line. Seems like poor timing to me - if somebody wanted to make a statement, wouldn't they try to time it with the winners, when there's more of a fuss and more people around?

Also - if the bomber(s) is someone who is a white supremacist, a "true patriot", the sort of person who would hate concepts like multiculturalism - what better event to target than the Boston Marathon, where people from all over the world congregate for a fun and peaceful day.
