I didn't like the Who episode at all, really, which was deeply disappointing: I was hoping to get Sandman-style creepy mystery and instead we got teasing setup for that and then... the Doctor flirting. Argh. I've heard it was an incredibly expensive ep to do and I'm sort of boggled, because you could do the script on an empty stage without losing anything; it's 75% banter, 20% chasing down tunnels, and 5% actual plot.

That said, I love what he does with characters. His protagonists can be sort of iffy -- too much trying to be an audience stand-in -- but the surrounding characters are amazing.
