I feel sad when I think of my current fandom dying as well and worry about finding a new one, but I remember that's how I felt about my last fandoms that died... and that I did end up finding new ones. It's okay that you keep yourself going by thinking you'll wake up someday like Sora since just keeping on keeping on can be hard, but maybe you can try to find a new niche. Then you can look back at your old fandom fondly instead of with sadness and a deep longing to reconnect to those days.
