For me, it, followed by Anna's situation, was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back. Yes, Supernatural (show and fandom) was often crap at dealing with female characters, but it wasn't quite enough to make me give up on it. That was. I've not watched since.

So, I suppose I'm saying I can see your point. If you'd already given up on SPN being decent for female characters, I can understand why you'd react less to that.
