1. A book by Janine Ellen Young called The Bridge. I'd love to discuss the hell out of the universe, but she and it are, apparently, rather obscure.

2. Lots of things, especially in recent years. Breaking Bad, House, Discworld, Dexter, Mad Men (if we exclude online discussion as 'fandom')... even when I wasn't happy with the way, e.g., House was going, I still didn't care to seek out alternate fanfic or even just discussion. Discworld fandom stuff I never avoided, but it also didn't occur to me to ever seek it out. They're so complete on their own that I don't even care about second-guessing, speculation, squeeing, whatever.
