So, title.

I really dislike how some people bash the parts of the fandom they're not in mine.

I don't think I could list them all, but the constant comparing/contrasting in order to bash stuff they don't like and justify stuff they like drives me batshit.

All the ship wars in Supernatural. That is why I like Marvel fandom so much. I have never seen any ship wars. They just ship and let ship.

I don't think Marvel fandoms ship and let ship so much as the ship wars don't spread. They're pretty contained to individual communities or memes.

Ship wars, although they've died down a lot since Chris Meloni left.

...which brings me to the second thing I hate, which is how some people are still insisting that Meloni's coming back.

Constant ship wars and character bashing.

This. one. fic. which is super popular and wildly out of character (imo; I'm guessing its legions of fans disagree) and absolutely zarking EVERYWHERE, and the mini-fandom that's sprung up around it, and the way people are starting to use bits of its canon in unrelated fics...

Can you tell us which fanfic is this?

Oh man, I don't think there's anything I hate in my main fandom.

I kind of dislike how the pairing I ship isn't the most popular anymore. /lololol butthurt

Um, I'm also told there's some elitism? I don't see it on my dash much, though.

Ship bashing. Insisting that something the canon is *loosely* [very loosely] based on means that if it happens in that [the loosely based on thing] then it's Totally Canon for the series. : /

That or ship bashing.

People using real disasters and tragedies as the basis for their fic, and posting said fic within hours of the tragedy in question. It seems like there's always at least one attention-grubbing dumbass who does this.

This isn't really a "hate", but am I the only one who actually kind of loves ship wars? Like I can just lurk and break out the popcorn gifs forever.

You're definitely not the only one. Ship wars are hilarious.

They are totally hysterical :D It kind of depends on the insanity level of the wankers in question and/or the level of significance of the pairings to the canon.

For example, Avatar The Last Airbender shipwars are some of my greatest entertainment ever because the ships in question are such relatively small parts of the show compared to the amount of wank surrounding them.

I find them hilarious, but I enjoy them more if they're something that's removed from my particular part of fandom so I don't have my tumblr dash clogged with bitching. Even that's okay at first, but sometimes it goes on for weeks and gets old.

Character bashing due to shipping preferences. In a game where the player decides who marries whom, it's especially ridiculous.

It doesn't help that the main target is one of my favourite characters.

All the hate that the Alpha kids get.

That everyone's playing the new dlc and my laptop that can play the game is in for repairs

Taking over hipster posts with silly jokes and ?bashing? on the hipsters.

Currently, people posting the same five pics of Cumberumberbatch with little more than "Cumberberberbatch Squee!" Yes, we've seen that publicity shot 20 times in this tag.

Ha ha, tumblr is awesome. If you've only seen it 20 times, that's doing pretty good compared to a couple of my tracked fandoms.
