I'd like this show a lot more if the main characters were as likeable as the side characters.

I like Monroe and Rosalee a lot more than Nick, Hank or Juliette. They sometimes just feel like cardboard people to me, without genuine emotion. I always feel like the guy playing Nick should have been a model, not an actor - that's about his range and Hank just looks pissed off to me half of the time.

I SO disagree with this. David G (who plays Nick) gets my vote for best performance. His expressions alone sell the character to me. The actors who play Monroe and Rosalee get very cheesy when they do proloned dialog. It's like they are talking to the camera in a kid's video. Oh well, different strokes. The others are of varied talent levels. Adalind being the worse I find.

I also disagree - I find Rosalee a Mary Sue who's turned Monroe into a meek wimp (apologies for that, but I just can't stand them anymore). I like Wu, Juliette and Renard. Nick and Hank are... okay, but slightly bland. I also wish Adalind would just feck off and die already.

Also, am I really the only one getting sick of the "OMG, this *insert show/book/movie/whatever here* would be so much better with more GRRRRL power!!!!!111!" thing?

Kind of, but maybe not for the same reasons you are. I mostly watch shows for the hot guys.

I like Wu and Renard, too. I guess I mostly just don't connect with Nick and Hank, which I suppose is a bit problematic since they're sort of the ones driving the plot.

I'm in a similar boat with Nick - he does seem like a cutout. often, and it doesn't help that his character is frequently written to miss things that are patently obvious to other characters and/or the audience. He's improved a bit this season, though.

I love Monroe, Rosalee - and Hank. His attitude towards finding out about the vesen was perfect - freaked but practical and a bit geeky.
