1. the fandom didn't STEAL anything. People's interests change. It happens and they're allowed to have different interests, just as you are.

2. If all you had in common with these friends was your fandoms and you don't want anything to do with what they're into now... time to move on anyway.

3. That's a ridiculous reason not to watch something you could potentially enjoy. Seriously? "WAH EVERYONE ELSE LIKES IT SO I WON'T!" get over yourself.

I don't see it as ridiculous if that's how I actually feel. I can't bring myself to watch quite a few shows because of irrational feelings of fandom jealosy. Just because it is an irrational feeling doesn't mean it's not a real feeling that I can just put aside at will. And a television show or movie isn't important enough for me to go to therapy about. If I even wanted to get over it.
