Honestly. It's like, I'm sure everyone can agree there are female anti-feminists. If all men everywhere are permanently doomed to be anti-feminist, where does that leave us?

you're a male ally, but not one with the same symbolic weight as a cis-guy--because you've had the chance to walk in women's shoes and experience what women feel and how they're treated. To ask someone who hasn't been able to do that, who hasn't been personally affected, to imagine that same experience is a taller order--not one that shouldn't be expected of men, of course, but the bar to you stepping up to become a male ally is lower than for a cis-guy to do the same.

Also the character here is clearly acting out of anger. Do you go into all the threads where women are venting about how much men suck and say "WELL WHAT ABOUT ME??"

well, saying all "x group" suck is a stupid thing to do no matter how angry you are, and it doesn't help anything but for you to wallow in self-pity and generalize another group.
