Re: Boston Manhunt
And if this is case, what type of older brother was he to do this to his younger brother? You are suppose to love and protect your brother not twist him into doing something that will almost guarantee him a death sentence.
I know there are many F!Sers here with siblings. Close siblings. What do you think?
I feel sorry for the victims. I feel sorry for the younger brother if he was manipulated. I don't have one ounce of pity for the older brother. One of the worst brothers in history.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 02:23 am (UTC)(link)helplessness is a very difficult mental and emotional state to swallow, so finding anything, anyone to blame for your feelings (i'm talking about emotions here, rather than the actual real crimes, which definitely have to be accounted for), anything to make you feel back in control becomes more important than cold logic

(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 02:21 am (UTC)(link)The 19-year-old I could maybe call a kid; it's hard to say at that age. But the person to whom I replied specifically referred to the older brother as still being "just a kid," and mid-20s is, to me, adult territory.

Re: Boston Manhunt
(Anonymous) 2013-04-20 12:52 am (UTC)(link)Saying this as an older sibling, because one of my brothers is, well, he's dumb as fuck (not his fault obviously, he's just a bit on the slow side). He set fire to a park backed up to a school once, in fire season, because the older boys he was hanging with goaded him into it and he just never thinks of consequences. (he was 12 at the time). It took several years of hard work to break their hold on him and he's pretty awesome now, on the right track.
But he's still really dumb at thinking about consequences to actions. We just kinda had to hammer in "don't do all these things no matter what".
So when I hear about things like this where a kid is the perpetrator I just D: D: D: because they're probably going to be tried as an adult, their future is basically gone - and all because they're just the usual dumb kid.
*rant of sad feelings*
*also not american if it matters*
