This is a scene from Please Like Me where someone's Great Aunt publicly outs him without warning or permission. In church. During an anti-gay sermon. She even makes him stand up so she can point him out to the whole congregation.

As someone whose been in a similar situation [not church, but...I was outed in the lunchroom in a pretty very conservative school] I'm kinda surprised anyone would try to make that funny, or think it was. That just sounds like the was metaphorically painting a bulls-eye on his back. : /
