And I might also add, the fact that CeeLo was honest enough to admit that he did terrible things makes me like him even more than I already did.

(BTW I was buying his music before "Fuck You" and Gnarls Barkley and all that shit)

Do you feel the same way about Chris Brown and Sean Penn?

Not really but only because I don't get the sense that they've done anything to correct their abusive behavior, I just don't get the sense of condemning anyone who has ever abused anyone ever. I like to be positive and think people can actually change their behavior if they get counseling and treatment

After hearing about what Chris Brown did soon after it happened, I thought he was an asshole but even though what he did was horrible I thought he was capable of changing and cleaning up his act. But holy shit, he just kept right on being a complete douchebag. His apologies in subsequent interviews rang false and self centered, he turned down offers to talk to youths about how one should never commit domestic abuse, he's continued to be a violent, aggressive little dick, he acts like people are completely outrageous and out of line when they even mention what he did, Frank Ocean claims that he called him a homophobic slur and threatened to shoot him, and he's been playing the martyr act for quite a while (at one point he literally compared himself to jesus on the cross). So....yeah, at one point I thought he could turn his life around but now I'm really not sure. Not saying it's impossible, but it's going to take a looooot of work to erase all of that douchebaggery.

Now Sean Penn...I have no idea. I know what he's done and it's horrific and I don't like the dude but I haven't really heard much about him lately. He's just far, far less exposed than Brown is and he really just hasn't been in the public's eye lately. I'm guessing that, unlike Brown, he knows how to lay low. He's probably still and ass but idk

Well, let's be fair here: people in general are perfectly capable of change, but there's no evidence this dude (whoever he is) has actually changed. Aside from no longer admitting he tortures animals, what has he done that makes you go "okay, clearly you have learned your lesson and are now a decent person?"

I'm seriously curious here.

Well, for one thing, it's been a long time since the events he described in his YOUTH and he hasn't been in the news lately for being violent. I guess he could still secretly be a violent person but you could say that about any celebrity

Still, wow, judging grown people for what they did as kids or teenagers is beyond stupid

OT but most kids and teenagers know the difference between right and wrong. some people have committed crimes like murder and rape as teenagers. watch your words.
