I get that the artist was really kinda sleazy in his earliest strips, and that he wants to make amends for that. Just, he's gone from one extreme to the other in trying to do so. At the very least he needs to throw in some other stories amongst the atoner-strips stuff. The strip always used to hit a variety of subjects, which was its main strength, but banging on the same drum constantly is just boring. I'd be saying that if he was just doing nothing but sleazy porn comics too.

My feelings, exactly. I really like 'Nique's feminist subplot, but I don't like how it's taken over over everything else, with a lot of hit and miss with the humor and sincerity. I don't miss the sleaze, but the variety didn't need to go, too.
