seriously. OP sounds like they've grown apart from their friend. It happens. Unless OP's friend is neglecting RL responsibilities and not taking care of themselves because of fandom, unless fandom is really RUINING their life in a tangible way, it's none of OP's business how their friend chooses to have fun.

Suggest some other hobbies and go out together to do them--or just accept that maybe you've grown apart and move on.
