I will say that what you're describing isn't uncommon, and it's the reason a lot of people get into fandoms, but if it bothers you, then it makes sense to think of it as something not good. I love my shows and my fandoms, but having my thoughts taken over by them (especially when I first get into them) is inconvenient and and uncomfortable for me. I hope you're able to get this all calmed down to a point where you're comfortable.
