There are so many all boy shows/core boy shows, that having a show with a strong female cast for kids is great imo. I think having a show for boys that showcase different male personalities would be great however.

Agreed. I don't understand why one of the very few shows that is girl-centric and doesn't fall back to "shopping, boyfriends, bitchfights" should get changed in favor of boys. Just make more shows for boys that show that being a male fashionista or a male introvert is fine, too.

(But... a show like that would probably not come from a company like Hasbro, who recently introduced the first pink Nerf gun, market it to girls only and call that bullshit "female empowerment").

yeah pretty much this. A show that shows that boys with something close to fluttershy's or rarity's personality would be great there could definitely be more positive feminine male role models, but damnit, don't take it out on the ponies, there's so few all female cast shows out there as it is, much less good ones.

As an unrelated side note, I work at the daycare center on a college campus for school and MLP is one of the few shows that both the little girls and boys will agree to watch whenever it's T.V. time.

This. There are some facets the show could explore if the cast were all male, but it would lose out on a lot of other opportunities.

Yeah, it'd be nice for more boys' shows or general-audience-but-mostly-male-cast shows tho have more varied personalities for the characters, especially if there were male characters who acted like Rarity and Fluttershy and they weren't played for laughs or portrayed as weak... But I'd be really pissed off if a good show with a mostly female cast like MLP:FiM got sacrificed for it.
