Cloud/Aeris is basically my OTP to end all OTPs.

OP, you're an asshole. There's plenty of basis for Zack/Cloud, far more than just wanting two hot guys together.

I don't understand this recent trend of people thinking they're utterly superior for shipping canon het. Like, congratulations? Do you want a medal or something? Just sit down, shut up, enjoy your ship, and let other people do the same.

This is a good comment and you should feel good.

I've always liked almost all of the cloud/tifa/zack/aeris combinations, but I always prefer reading fanfic about cloud/zack, or cloud/zack/aeris, or cloud/zack/tifa, or tifa/aeris on the rare occasion it rolled around. I just don't enjoy reading strictly het a lot, and I don't enjoy the way most people write the characters through the frame of heterosexual romance a lot of the time.

This is a big part of what fandom is even for.
