(Anonymous) 2013-04-22 01:02 am (UTC)(link)Designate an area in the new place as a temporary hub for day to day essentials (paperwork, keys, purse, phones, etc) until the chaos is over. Do not let anything that isn't part of your day to day essentials near it. Don't set a box next to it or unpack there or anything like that because nonessential stuff eats essential stuff during a move unless you're really careful.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-22 01:04 am (UTC)(link)I forgot to say that taking pictures of boxes just before sealing them is a great way to help you remember exactly what is inside and easily locate things if you accidentally pack something you need. Frame the camera so you can see the top contents but also so any markings on the sides/flaps are visible.
