I just did this too! Less than a month ago. Fortunately only about ten minutes away from the previous place, so it was easy to go back and forth for the stuff I forgot, but it doesn't take many trips before things get tedious. All those last little miscellaneous things will grow exponentially and take up far more space in your car than you think they should, so pack as much as you can into every trip.

Put the hardware for any furniture you have to take apart in individual, sealed and labeled plastic baggies. Put all of those in one big bag, along with any required tools for reassembly. Make sure that goes with you when you move the furniture! Putting the big stuff in first is a good idea. Plan ahead for where you're going to sleep and make sure you've got enough supplies (food, disposable dishes, toiletries...) for the next morning.

Blankets and towels are also great for packing more fragile things in, or for putting between furniture pieces so they don't rub.
