I'd suggest starting with Season 1 of NuWho, since it's intended as a good jumping-on point for people not familiar with the Classic Who canon. Then if you want to go back and watch some of the Classic series, grab whatever Doctor or companion looks interesting, or whatever serial is recommended to you. Normally I'm a big fan of watching things in order, but because some episodes of Classic Who have been lost, it's impossible to do the completionist thing, so you may as well jump around to whatever looks neat.
