I've only even been to one twice - they just finally put one in my town under a year ago. Just I've been seeing their commercials for a few years because I'm in Michigan, and follow Detroit sports teams, and the Detroit area has had TimHo's for awhile now apparently, being right across the bridge from Windsor. Locally, we have Sweetwater's Donut Mill, which is hands-down the best donuts (and most creative flavors) you can get, and drove all the Dunkin Donuts stores out of business in our area years ago. XD But then this holiday season we had a shiny new TimHo's, and they were advertising GINGERBREAD DONUTS, so... I kind of had to try those. And I will admit they were delicious, so went back to get another before they disappeared. But I'm still all about Sweetwater's.

ayrt: idk if they air the same commercials in Michigan, but Timmy's likes to advertise that they're 'Canada's favourite place for coffee' which is true... everywhere except where I live (Vancouver). XD Here we have plenty of Timmy's, but there's even more Starbuck's (think Seattle-amounts) so that easily wins out more and does a lot more for me when I have to be awake for an 830 am class. :P

I DO love their donuts though. And they have some pretty decent food (chili, sandwiches, etc) when I only have a few bucks to spend on lunch. ;)

Hmm, I definitely haven't seen any commercials that mention Canada at all (which is funny, because when I was younger, the Canadians I knew all held it over our heads like "Nyah nyah, we have Tim Horton's and you don't!" XD so I always knew it was a Canadian thing), though they do occasionally tout their food and coffee. It's Dunkin Donuts that really promotes their coffee around here. I see more DD commercials about their coffee than their donuts... which seems really bizarre to me.

But me, I don't drink coffee (caffeine sensitivity), so I don't really care whose coffee is good. Just gimme the sweet sweet breakfast pastries. :D

OH MAN Sweetwater's!

I live closer to Detroit, but stopped there once on a Chicago road trip with a friend. A few miles back into the highway and a cruller and a caramel apple donut later, and said friend and I were debating on just how many of the remaining 6 or so we reaalllly needed to bring back for others...

Hee. My girlfriend lived most of her life in New England, so she was all DUNKIN DONUTS ARE THE ONE TRUE DONUT until she moved out here. And saw they had black forest cake donuts. And Oreo donuts. And her favorite, the Elvis donut (peanut butter and banana; sadly it was a limited edition).

So a couple months later we were on a road trip and considering stopping at a Dunkin Donuts, and she's like "...I hate to admit it, but I really can't deny it - Sweetwater's wins."
