Re: Don't you love it when shitstorms happen in fandoms you're not in?

You do realize how ridiculous this sounds, right? FANS' OPINIONS WILL NEVER CHANGE EVER. When Old Who is a stellar example of how big a change you can make in a show without alienating fans.

You're not going to be physically harmed if you try it with the next showrunner. I mean, no one's forcing you to if you're just not interested, it's your entertainment choice, but your attempt at rationalizing it is ridiculous.

Hey, if fandom changes from squeeing over all the angst and TEH FEEEEEEEEEELS, I will be a very happy nonny. Doesn't seem like they will, from where I'm sitting, given that DW has never been more popular, and these are the reasons cited by the majority of the fandom the show is popular with.

(Tbf I have probably been reading far too much Tumblr.)

If the next run of the show is more like the classic Doctors, and fandom is OK with that (someone complained downthread they found Four "boring", bzuh wut), then I will happily stand corrected. I just honestly don't see it happening, IMO.
