Huh. I found Four's serials pretty boring until I had explored some of the other Doctors who were less detached and gotten emotionally invested in the character across incarnations. (They are very good plotwise, though).

To each their own. I don't need to be "emotionally invested" in DW, I just want to escape into the story. Which became progressively more difficult with Nu!Who as the show wore on. And on and on and on. (I'm the same anon upthread who no longer watches.)

I've always been unable to compute with people who have this opinion (I mean, with some shows I understand enjoyment with no emotional investment. Doctor Who, not so much), but hey, yeah, different strokes ;)
