IDK, thanks for the kind words and thoughts. Overall you're right but being too chickenshit to ask the internet to look at my art in a serious context is hardly my biggest problem. So I guess I'll stick to not posting my stuff until I feel good enough about it that it doesn't cause me anxiety.
Until then I shall continue to produce ridiculous, sub-par art to the bemusement of f!s commenters. Probably using Paint as well. And I shall have fun doing it. This is my solemn pledge to both you and the OP of this thread.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-23 04:34 am (UTC)(link)For what it's worth, I checked out your fanart, and I definitely think you're on the right track. My main suggestion would be to get used to using guide lines-- block out the body and face shapes before doing the details. It ain't a magic trick, it'll still look wonky until you get used to the proportions. There are a shit ton of tutorials on this kinda stuff, but you gotta find one that suits you best; I think a mistake people make is trying to take them all into account and it just ends up confusing. Or maybe that was just me.
Or try places like http://senshistock.deviantart.com/, where besides the stock they usually have tutorials in their favorites, and accept submissions of art based on their stock, so you may get feedback more easily. Good luck.
