Dear OP of #1: WORD. Wordity McWord with an extra helping of WORD. Marvel fans are such fucking sheep. Express an opinion that's even slightly at variance from the norm and you're some kind of freak of nature.

You know what? I had no interest in Tony before CW. And now I find him fascinating. For fuck's sake, aren't Marvel heroes supposed to be flawed? That's what makes them interesting!

And man, the movie's going to ROCK. Have you seen the trailer? It's so sweet. I saw a bootleg taken by a camcorder at Comicon and I damned near screamed out loud.

Iron Man is awesome. And even after all the complaining from Civil War (I never read it, decided it would be better to stay faaaaar away) I still like him, no matter how anyone rants. Besides, after a while the whole thing will be retcon'd, and then where will we be?

I mostly read Civil War for the sort of trainwrecky WHAT IS THIS feeling. I might just be a masochist.

I don't really like Iron Man, but I still plan on seeing the movie. The trailer was fantastic.

The trailer was AMAZING. Even my dad thought it was awesome, and he's not usually impressed by that sort of thing.

AGREED. I've been slagged for not being happy with 'Annihilation: Conquest' so far (although I do love 'Wraith' the most, but that's only because I love Javi's work) among other things. Don't get me started on the occasional Beta Ray Bill hater, but alot of the boys at the Thor forum I frequent come to my defense whenever that happens.

Exactly. Sure, some of Tony's motives were questionable, but when you strip away the political subtext and all, IMHO he does have a fairly good point. But by the end of CW, I wanted to donkey punch Captain America, simply because his supporters on various message boards drove me up the proverbial wall. (Although that doesn't mean I hate Cap, by the way)

Yes. Yes I have and it's made me all hyped for the film. Robert Downey Jr. = PERFECT casting choice ever. The [unrelated] animated film that was out last year was okay at best, but the live action film? I CAN'T WAIT. =D
