(Anonymous) 2007-09-16 10:05 am (UTC)(link)how is this not holding a fic for ransom? how is this different from someone who is writing and posting chapter by chapter and not posting the next part until they get X number of reviews?

Heh even if I waited for reviews to post, it'll be some low number, like one or two per chapter. Just to see what kind of reaction/feedback the fic gets. Improvement, or tweaking, or development, etc. Or maybe just post one chapter every one or two days. Or one a week. Something regular, anyway. (I personally love authors who have a regular update schedule.)
Most important thing in my book is completing the fic and not to just leave it (and the readers) hanging.
But essentially yes, if I did write fic, I would like x ≥ 1 reviews per chapter.
