I hate my skin color. Sometimes I resent my parents for letting me be born with it, even though I know it's not their fault.

God, this was me. I'm brown (this exact shade, actually (http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110105123056/tardis/images/6/62/11.jpg)), and always resented my skin color because the rest of my family was so light (I inherited my grandmother's color, whereas the rest of my siblings vary from white to a very light tan, including my parents).

Anyway, it took me a long time to accept my skin color. I'm mostly okay with it, really. Actually, I even have moments when I really like the color of my skin. I do wish I could be a few shades lighter, and I avoid direct sunlight as if I were a vampire (TANS = EVIL), but what can ya do?

I do hope I'll one day be able to just love myself completely, though.

I doubt it means anything but I am envious as hell of that skin color. It is beautiful.
