Re: Little things that made you ship something

Age difference is a huge thing (which is a major reason why I started shipping Rose/Nine from Doctor Who from the start).

I also love it when the characters are very snarky or sarcastic towards each other. Or when they can hardly tolerate each other, but slowly learn to appreciate/tolerate the other.

I have a harder time shipping characters who have similar personalities.

Also, the whole calm character/wild character is a major turn-off. Case in point:

Remus/Sirius from Harry Potter
Iruka/Kakashi from Naruto
Clint/Phil from The Avengers
Brian/Michael from Queer As Folk

I much prefer it when both characters are very rough around the edges, only in different ways.
