I like the way Lana's music sounds/her voice but I don't really love the lyrics (if I twist my interpretations of them I like them tho) and her image is kind of hard to get into for me too, especially in her music videos. National Anthem was the first song I heard from her because I saw the video and liked it, though. Next was Bel Air, but I haven't seen any of her other ones.

She helps me fall asleep too. A lot of people hate her though, don't worry! :)

you've precisely listed how i feel about LDR. like, her songs begin and i get into the way they sound, but then her lyrics sound so mish mashed and thrown together and ruin any of the smooth cool her songs had going for them. some of the time she can fix it a little bit (like half of the lyrics can sound alright), but she does this weird cutesy pronunciation of some words that just... idk man, ruin it again for me.

and yet, here i am, still listening to her music willingly. i can't fucking explain.

Haha, yeah, and some of her lyrics are just so redundant across her songs. I feel like she's trying way too hard to sell her image, and 'weird cutesy' would be the exact phrase I'd use to describe it. I think her being inspired by Lolita and stuff has made people think she's hardcore philosophical, but idk, I just can't get too in depth with her music... but I still like listening to it. Guilty pleasure or no :p
